Lamar University is seeking an AV Support Analyst I to provide daily operational and technical support for audio-visual systems across classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces in Beaumont, Texas. The Audio Visual (AV) Support Analyst I provides daily operational and technical support for audio-visual systems across classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces. This role is responsible for scheduling, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV equipment, LU Job Description Form v.23.02
including providing live event support and ensuring reliable system performance. The position installs, configures, upgrades, and repairs a variety of AV hardware and software, supports the deployment of new technologies, and assists with system installations.
The AV Support Analyst I responds to user support requests, diagnoses and resolves technical issues, and maintains accurate records of equipment, services, and inventory. This role also evaluates emerging AV technologies, recommends solutions to meet organizational needs, and applies best practices to improve system performance and service delivery.
Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, as the position regularly collaborates with faculty, staff, vendors, and other technical teams to deliver responsive, high-quality support. The incumbent is expected to maintain current technical knowledge through ongoing learning and contribute to a positive, service-oriented team environment.
