TEKsystems is seeking an AV Service Technician to support commercial and enterprise clients in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing Crestron/AMX systems, AV over IP, and conference-room environments while engaging directly with customers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of AV experience, strong troubleshooting, and a technical degree or equivalent hands-on background. This is a fully onsite contract opportunity with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional AV experience.
• Strong AV troubleshooting and service experience.
• Experience with Crestron and/or AMX.
• Experience with commercial AV systems, conference rooms, or video conferencing.
• Comfortable troubleshooting Cat6, audio, video, and control systems.
• Ability to read system drawings and trace signal flow.
• Experience using a multimeter and basic hand tools.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• CTS certification is a plus, but not required.
• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service commercial audio-visual systems.
• Diagnose issues with Crestron DM, Crestron NVX, and AMX systems.
• Service AV systems in conference rooms, boardrooms, and meeting spaces.
• Troubleshoot video conferencing systems.
• Work with AV over IP (AVoIP) systems.
• Troubleshoot audio systems including DSPs, amplifiers, speakers, and microphones.
• Service displays, projectors, video walls, and digital signage.
• Use a multimeter and other tools to trace wiring and connection issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Complete service reports and document work performed.
• Work directly with customers to resolve AV issues.
• Assist and mentor less-experienced technicians when needed.

AV Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced AV Service Technician to support commercial and enterprise customers. This is a great opportunity for someone already working in AV service or an experienced AV installation technician who wants to transition into a service-focused position.

The right person will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with Crestron and/or AMX systems, and be comfortable working directly with customers in professional environments.

What Youll Be Doing

• Troubleshoot and service commercial audio-visual systems
• Diagnose issues with Crestron DM, Crestron NVX, and AMX systems

What Were Looking For

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $53.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
