Job summary

TruckingPeople in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Tester (Safety Driver) to support data collection and real-world testing of self-driving vehicles. You will operate vehicles on scheduled shifts, perform inspections, and document results with safety as the priority.

You will work night shifts 3:45pm–12:15am, with bonuses for weekend and late-shift hours. Training is provided, including 3–4 days in Las Vegas, NV.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive for extended periods of time.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic technology and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and proactive mindset.
• No criminal history; must pass background and MVR checks.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles in live traffic environments.
• Drive 4–8 hours per day with safety as the top priority.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks.
• Support software and hardware testing operations.
• Document observations, metrics, and testing results accurately.
• Report technical issues and provide feedback to engineering teams.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational readiness.
• Assist with logistics, movement, and storage of vehicles and equipment.
• Represent the company professionally during all operations.

About the Role

We are hiring Autonomous Vehicle Operators (Safety Drivers) in Atlanta, GA to support testing and daily operations

As a Level 3 Vehicle Operator, you will help ensure the safety, readiness, and performance of self-driving vehicles in real-world traffic conditions. This role works closely with engineering and operations teams while representing the company professionally in public settings.

Night Shift

3:45 PM – 12:15 AM

Available Schedules

• Tuesday–Saturday
• Wednesday–Sunday
• Thursday–Monday
• Sunday–Thursday

Shift Bonuses

• Weekend shifts: +5% bonus pay
• Night shifts starting at 1:00 PM or later: +2% additional bonus pay
• Weekend night shifts: up to +7% total bonus pay

Key Responsibilities
