Responsibilities

Job description

Trillium Drivers needs Autonomous Vehicle Operators to work with a world class company that is doing auto testing for self-driving vehicles in the Atlanta area.

Qualifications

• Previous Autonomous/AV driving experience and testing required and must have knowledge of ADAS function fundamentals.
• Must have the following qualities: Fast reflexes, stamina, exceptional communication skills, team player, positive attitude, professionalism and confidence in handling a high-performance vehicle.
• Clear driving record, safety minded, reliability and commitment. Must be prepared to work a schedule that will include working weekends but with 2 consecutive days off in the middle of the week, day shift, start time 8am.

Course Requirements

• Driving and stopping at high speeds up to approximately 70 mph.
• Able to accelerate and take a sharp corner (car will drift).
• React to the vehicle’s autonomous functions.
• Handle the vehicle under wet road conditions.

Job Duties

• Safely drive test vehicles in manual + actuation mode while following instructions from Developers, Engineers, and Lead during drives in public roads, closed‑course, and highways.
• Monitor systems in vehicles to identify problems and troubleshoot/calibrate as necessary.
• Prepare vehicles before and after drives, this includes plugging/unplugging vehicle from power and network cables and other tasks listed on pre‑ and post‑trip checklist.
• Perform administrative duties such as vehicle tracking, checking in/out keys and fuel cards.
• Assist with vehicle transfer requests between our garages, testing courses, and vehicle maintenance facilities.
• Assist with off‑site tests that would require extended hours.
• Provide overnight test drive support.
• Be able to travel up to 40%.
• Perform vehicle inspection and provide a testing summary daily as necessary.
• Notice, track, and report ongoing issues.
• Maintain good punctuality and work ethics.
• Interact with the public and legal authorities as needed while on the road.
• Maintain confidentiality about the project.
• Assist with Lead’s administrative tasks as necessary.
