Job summary

INSPIRE seeks an Audio Visual Supervisor to join our team at the Renaissance Nashville in Nashville, TN. The Supervisor will direct hotel AV technicians, ensure service levels meet client expectations, and coordinate daily operations for events and meetings.

Responsibilities include verifying inventory, setting up and troubleshooting equipment, guiding workflow, and coaching staff to maintain quality and deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of audio-visual experience.
• 1-3 years hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 or more years of experience leading a team preferred.
• Knowledge of technical theory.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization, communication, and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify that the AV equipment needed is in our inventory before the event.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot all equipment, devices, and systems.
• Ensure all equipment is fully operational, and repair/clean when necessary.
• Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge of programming, setup, testing, and troubleshooting of AV equipment and software.
• Label broken equipment.
• Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order/Flow Sheets.
• Communicate additions or deletions to flowsheets.
• Break down, remove, and secure equipment.
• Perform daily floor management, including directing the workflow of technicians and assisting management with labor needs and scheduling.
• Understand acoustics and sound amplification to support temporary and permanent equipment solutions for events and daily operations.
• Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage/operation of AV equipment.
• Upsell AV services.
• Monitor equipment operation.
• Assist management in hiring, training, motivating, and coaching employees; and serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
