Job summary

VersaTech, Inc. seeks an experienced AV Field Engineer to install, maintain and troubleshoot advanced AV systems across sites, including secure government facilities.

The role requires extensive travel up to 35% with 1–2 week assignments and strong collaboration with PMs and IT teams. Responsibilities include configuring video conferencing, digital signage, audio and control systems, conducting site surveys, and ensuring systems meet security requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven AV installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in secured environments and following security protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% for 1–2 week assignments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, commission and test AV systems (video conferencing, signage, audio, control).
• Conduct site surveys and assist in AV design development.
• Troubleshoot AV equipment and networking in-field.
• Ensure systems meet security requirements in classified environments.
• Collaborate with project managers, IT and stakeholders for on-time delivery.
• Provide end-user training and post-installation support.
• Maintain installation manuals, configurations, drawings and reports.
• Stay updated on AV tech trends to improve performance.
