We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV Field Engineer to join our growing team. The AV Field Engineer will be responsible for the on-site installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio-visual systems in commercial, educational, and/or government environments. This role requires a strong understanding of AV technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and commission AV systems including projectors, displays, audio processors, video conferencing equipment, and control systems
Perform on-site testing and troubleshooting of AV equipment and infrastructure.
Interpret AV system drawings, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, system designers, and clients to ensure successful system deployment.
Provide technical support and guidance to end users and internal teams.
Document installation and configuration details for project close-out packages.
Conduct site surveys and pre-installation assessments as needed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working order.
Ensure installations comply with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of AV systems.
Industry certifications (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Biamp, Control 4, QSC).
Strong knowledge of signal flow, AV networking, and cable termination (HDMI, Cat6, fiber, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and architectural drawings.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time and tasks effectively under pressure.
Detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship.
