Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Manager to lead the Metrics Frameworks team for AV evaluation. Based remotely with hybrid options in Sunnyvale, CA, you will guide architecture and delivery of scalable data frameworks used by multiple engineering teams.

You will hire and develop engineers, set the technical roadmap, ensure reliability and observability, and partner with stakeholders to translate complex needs into actionable plans that accelerate AV performance insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in software/data platforms or evaluation systems.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience delivering a roadmap for a platform used by multiple teams.
• Strong system design, testing, observability, and performance tradeoffs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers.
• Define the team's technical vision and roadmap.
• Own scalable metrics frameworks across simulated and real driving data.
• Ensure reliable, observable, and maintainable platforms.
• Establish SLIs, dashboards, and operational practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into plans.
