Job summary

General Motors is seeking a senior leader to head the Metrics Frameworks team within the Evaluation organization. You will guide architecture and operations of platforms that analyze autonomous driving data and enable decision making.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years building software/data platforms, 3+ years of people leadership, and a track record of delivering scalable data pipelines and reliable systems. This remote/hybrid role offers US-based flexibility and collaboration with diverse partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building software, data platforms, or analytics infrastructure in production.
• 3+ years directly managing engineers or technical professionals.
• Experience setting technical direction and roadmaps for platforms used by multiple teams.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and distributed services.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, testing, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing software and data engineering team.
• Define the team’s technical vision, roadmap, and priorities.
• Own delivery of scalable metrics frameworks across simulated and real-world data.
• Ensure platforms are reliable, observable, and easy for internal customers to use.
• Establish SLAs, dashboards, and operational practices for data pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into measurable outcomes.
• Uphold architecture quality, code reviews, and security standards.
• Support production incidents and improve data reliability.
