UC San Diego is seeking an Electronics Technician to install and service audiovisual systems across campus and medical facilities. You will work on projects from small rooms to large conference suites, mounting displays, wiring, and control systems while ensuring safety and adherence to codes.
The role requires hands-on AV installation, on-site troubleshooting, and occasional travel. Evening and weekend availability may be needed to meet project schedules and support UCSD operations.

Audio Visual Design & Installation (AVDI), a division of IT Services, provides technology services, support, and resources to UC San Diego academic community, facilitating teaching and learning in service of the University's educational mission. Our efforts are grounded in a commitment to quality, collaboration, customer focus, innovation, and inclusiveness.
The AV Electronics Technician installs audiovisual (AV) equipment for a wide variety of UC San Diego campus and UC San Diego Health projects from small systems to complex video conference room systems. The position will work independently and in a team of installers to complete projects. The Electronics Technician will also alter existing audiovisual systems and structures.

Annual Full Pay Range: $70,950 - $88,991 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $33.98 - $42.62
