DSI Tech, a Cisco Partner based in Ashburn, Virginia, is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Design Engineer. The role focuses on planning, designing and implementing AV solutions across diverse projects, with frequent collaboration across departments.

The position is primarily in-office, with four days per week onsite and travel up to 50% per year. Relocation assistance is not specified. The candidate should have strong design and networking skills and CTS/Crestron/Extron/Biamp certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of AV engineer experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• AutoCAD and/or Visio drawing capabilities.
• Audio DSP programming and gain structure (Biamp, Extron DMP, QSC Core).
• Crestron and Extron nomenclature knowledge.
• Networking topology, IP addressing, multicast systems.
• Relevant CTS/Crestron/Extron/Biamp certifications.
• Experience in design, implementation and support of medium to large AV projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Prepare AV design packages, inventory, install and verify systems.
• Create floor plan diagrams, room/rack elevations, and AV/control diagrams.
• Prepare BOMs including hardware, cabling, and service estimates.
• Provide specifications and schematics for AV hardware and networks.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors and colleagues during design and implementation.
• Produce program reports to analyze capabilities and identify gaps.
• Specialize in audio DSP, video over IP, networks, video conferencing and VIP systems.
• Maintain up-to-date expertise across AV network hardware, software, codecs and controllers.
• Review BOMs for standards compliance and completeness.
• Communicate with customers, management, sales and project managers.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies.
• Foster collaboration with department heads and customers.
• Communicate clearly and professionally; manage personal workflow and attendance.
• Comply with safety protocols and perform additional duties as needed.
