Job summary

CGI is seeking an AV Design Engineer to design, engineer, and manage the production of project documents for audio, video, VTC, broadcast cable, video production, networking, lighting, and control systems for small to medium projects. You will prepare system drawings and diagrams and coordinate with BIM/MEP disciplines.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field, 3–8 years in AV design/integration, and AVIXA CTS/CTS-D certification, with AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or another related field.
• 3-8 years' experience in AV Design or Integration.
• AVIXA CTS or CTS-D certification.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.
• OSHA 10 or 30 hour.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and manage the production of project documents for audio, video, VTC conferencing, broadcast cable, video production, networking, lighting, and control systems for small to medium sized projects.
• Prepare A/V system drawings including floor plans, RCPs, room details, construction details, riser diagrams, functional diagrams, and other diagrams as needed.
• Provide structural, BIM, MEP, and Life Safety coordination.
• Maintain technical capabilities and certifications in networks, audio/video, and broadcast technologies.

Education
