Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an Autonomy Engineering intern to join our team. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop and test autonomous navigation, perception, or control algorithms.

Ideal candidates are pursuing MS/PhD in robotics or related fields, with strong C/C++, ROS1/ROS2, and Linux skills. Daytime schedule Monday-Friday; some night/weekend work may be required for surge periods.

Qualifications

We are seeking a talented and motivated Autonomy Engineering intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of autonomous systems. As an intern, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and researchers to develop and test advanced algorithms and technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the development and implementation of autonomous navigation, perception, or control algorithms.
• Analyze and interpret data from sensors and other sources to improve system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate autonomy solutions into various platforms.
• Document and present findings and progress to the engineering team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

• Hands-on experience with autonomous systems through research, coursework, projects, competitions, or previous internships

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Position requires light physical activity.

Daytime schedule Monday-Friday with infrequent night/weekend work for project surge support and additional effort as needed to achieve deadlines.

Pay Range

$18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
