Job summary

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. in Mountain View, CA seeks a Functional Safety Software Engineer to drive safety cases for the Kodiak Autonomy System. The role covers safety planning, requirements, architecture, unit and integration verification, and ISO 26262 compliance.

You will coordinate with software teams, conduct safety analyses, and support hardware-software interfaces while maintaining strong cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in software, electrical, mechanical or related engineering.
• Experience with ISO26262 and safety cases preferred.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safety work products and Independent Assessment packaging.
• Specify and review software safety requirements and architecture.
• Develop/test safety verification at unit and integration levels.
• Perform ISO 26262 dependent failure analyses and safety reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure ISO 26262 compliance.
