Job summary

Bedrock Robotics Inc. seeks an experienced Operational Safety & EHS Program Manager to own safety programs across autonomous field operations, spanning human–machine interaction and retrofit work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in EHS, safety program management, including 3+ years in heavy equipment, construction, or automation environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910 across multiple sites and states.
• Experience building safety programs from the ground up in a fast-growing organization.
• Track record leading incident investigations and corrective actions with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to influence engineers, operators, and senior leaders; confident making stop-work calls.
• Strong written and verbal communication with field crews, partners, executives, and regulators.
• Strong analytical skills; use safety and operational data to identify trends and prioritize risk.
• Willingness to travel 30-40% to active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational safety program for autonomous field operations, including exclusion zones and safety observer roles.
• Develop pre-deployment site safety assessments and go/no-go readiness gates with cross-functional teams.
• Lead job hazard analyses and operational risk assessments for testing and site launches.
• Own management of change as new machine types and autonomy capabilities are introduced.
• Review partner Site Safety Plans and prepare Site Safety Plans for Bedrock deployments.
• Translate field learnings into feedback for Engineering.
• Build and maintain Bedrock’s written EHS programs (IIPP, lockout/tagout, fall protection, etc.).
• Ensure OSHA/compliance across 15+ states, injury reporting, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor regulations and advise leadership on implications.
• Own incident, near-miss, and safety-observation reporting; lead root cause analyses and CAPA.
