Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a Product Management Intern to join the Vehicle Autonomy team for a summer internship. You will support PMs across initiatives ranging from current products to foundational platforms enabling autonomy experiences.

Intern will learn how high‑impact products are identified, evaluated, and iterated in a fast, collaborative environment, partnering with product, engineering, design, data, and program management teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s or MBA degree program with a focus in engineering, computer science, data science, human‑computer interaction, or related field with graduation between Dec 2027 and Aug 2028.
• Interest in product management, vehicle autonomy, ADAS, automotive tech, robotics or emerging mobility experiences.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with teammates from different technical backgrounds.
• Experience on a team project with evolving requirements; curious and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support product managers with research, analysis, documentation, and day‑to‑day product activities.
• Gather and synthesize customer, market, competitive, technical, and business insights.
• Contribute to product requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, and other docs.
• Assist with roadmap planning and materials for team discussions.
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and improvements.
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings and track decisions, actions, and dependencies.
• Work with engineering, design, data science, PM, and other teams to understand capabilities and constraints.
• Help evaluate current and future autonomy experiences and supporting platforms.
• Prepare presentations, status updates, and recommendations for various audiences.
• Support development and tracking of product success measures and customer feedback.
• Learn and apply PM practices in automotive and software‑defined vehicle environments.
