Job summary

Wayve is building autonomous driving technology and is looking for a founding manager for its Japan-based Application Engineer team. You’ll lead robotics, ML and systems integration efforts, shaping AV capabilities for Japan while operating with autonomy and strong cross-cultural collaboration with our London HQ.

You’ll drive goals, set roadmaps, and deliver high-impact work with minimal supervision, engaging with OEM partners and internal stakeholders to align on strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams focused on autonomous systems.
• Ability to set vision and drive programs across robotics, ML and systems integration.
• Excellent communication across cultures and time zones, with OEM partners.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and roadmaps for Wayve’s Japan AV team.
• Lead a small, high-impact team across robotics, ML and systems integration.
• Collaborate with global engineering to align Japan efforts with London HQ.
