Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Ground Control Software team working on New Glenn. You will design, verify, and deploy autonomous ground control applications used to support heavy-lift orbital launches, leveraging model-based development and AI techniques.

The role requires hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and model-based design, plus a strong background in control systems, software validation, and configuration management.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Aerospace, Software, or related field)
• 5-8 years of experience in the applicable industry and/or a controls-related role in a non-academic, professional setting
• Experience with model-based software design and validation
• Experience in tuning and processing P&ID loops and familiarity in reading schematic drawings
• Experience working in a configuration managed development environment
• Good knowledge of common programming languages such as C/C++, Python

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, verify, and commission software solutions for ground control systems supporting New Glenn
• Use model-based development and verification techniques for launch controls facilities
• Own complex technical challenges including configuration management, verification, commissioning and in-field troubleshooting
• Collaborate with launch engineering and operations to validate controls software meets real-world needs
• Ensure products are deployment-ready for a New Glenn Mission and operationally ready
