Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Fleet Service and Maintenance Technician to keep our autonomous vehicle fleet safe, reliable, and ready for testing and live demonstrations. This hands-on role reports to the Fleet Service Manager and requires strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency with modern diagnostic systems.

You will work with engineers, drivers, and operations to perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, ensure vehicle readiness, and document repairs.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in automotive servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician in fleet or automotive servicing.
• Strong diagnostics using OEM or third-party equipment.
• Familiar with repair manuals for mechanical and bodywork.
• Proficient with computer systems for maintenance tracking (Word, Excel).
• Ability to communicate with engineers, operations staff and drivers.
• Knowledge of workshop safety and compliance.
• Hold a US driving license.

Responsibilities

• Routine and preventative maintenance per guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair issues using OEM docs and diagnostic gear.
• Prepare vehicles for demonstrations and high-visibility events.
• Maintain workshop safety and compliance.
• Document faults, actions, and parts in digital tools.
• Provide feedback to Fleet Service Manager and Field Engineering.
• Communicate with fleet drivers to resolve issues.
