Job summary

AIM Intelligent Machines seeks engineers to bring autonomy systems online in production environments. You will configure software, calibrate sensors, validate perception and localization, and run initial autonomy tests on rugged hardware.

You will diagnose field failures, build diagnostic tools, and translate field realities into concrete engineering requirements, while traveling to customer sites as needed. Expect high autonomy and fast-paced product impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Robotics, Systems) or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years experience in field engineering, systems engineering, SDE/SDE-T, robotics deployment, industrial automation, test/validation engineering.
• Hands-on debugging of complex hardware/software systems in real-world conditions.
• Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash, JavaScript, or equivalent) and production-grade scripts.
• Solid understanding of sensors, networking, Linux, compute modules, and embedded hardware.

Responsibilities

• Configure autonomy software, perception stacks, networking, and cloud services.
• Perform calibration, alignment, and validation of sensors and localization.
• Execute first autonomy runs and safety acceptance tests.
• Diagnose failures across compute, networking, sensors, hydraulics, perception, control, GNSS, and cloud connectivity.
• Develop or extend diagnostic tools, scripts, and test harnesses to triage issues faster.
