Job summary

AIM Intelligent Machines, Inc. is building autonomous robotic systems for industrial field use, combining electronics, software, and mechanics for rugged environments. This role focuses on designing electrical subsystems, validating power and sensor integrations, and improving system reliability in real-world deployments.

You will work with cross-disciplinary teams to move concepts into hardware that operates on jobsites worldwide, using lab and field testing to ensure performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with schematic design and PCB development.
• Familiarity with analog and digital circuit fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, and laboratory debugging.
• Familiarity with CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, or Ethernet.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design & Develop Electrical Systems across sensors, compute platforms, power systems, and interfaces.
• Assist with schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and board bring-up activities.
• Translate product requirements into practical electrical solutions.
• Support electrical integration across autonomy and mechanical systems.
• Perform hardware bring-up, testing, and validation with lab equipment.
• Debug electrical and system-level issues in lab and field environments.
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with software and autonomy engineers to integrate hardware and interfaces.
• Contribute to documentation, test procedures, and engineering best practices.
