Overland AI, headquartered in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Software Engineer to integrate and deploy the OverDrive autonomy stack on ground-vehicle platforms. You will work across robotics teams, deploy in real-world conditions, and help extend the autonomy stack with new behaviors and payload integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, robotics or related field.
• Experience with robotics systems and ROS/ROS 2.
• Proficient in C++ and Python on Linux.
• Strong analytical thinking and experimental design skills.
• Field-tested mindset for real-world conditions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Willingness to relocate to Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

• Deploy autonomy stack onto hardware platforms for customers.
• Identify gaps in the autonomy stack and implement solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to deploy new behaviors and payload integrations.
• Design tools to deploy the autonomy stack on robotic vehicles.
• Lead field test campaigns on real platforms in off-road terrain.
• Assess system-wide performance and interactions in autonomous vehicles.
• Bridge between business development and R&D to deliver autonomy.
