Job summary

Aurora Innovation Inc. in Coppell, Texas is hiring an Autonomous Vehicle Command Center Operations Specialist to monitor and direct AV vehicles, optimize fleet performance, and support 24/7 operations on-site.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, respond to vehicle events, run diagnostics, and document issues for engineering, while maintaining safety and reliability in a fast-paced environment. A technical background, leadership experience, and a valid US driver’s license with clean

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical, engineering, or operations discipline.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings.
• On-site role with 24/7 shifts; some travel may be required.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 5 years of driving experience and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve trigger requests from autonomous vehicles.
• Monitor autonomous vehicle operating conditions (weather, traffic, etc.).
• Safely send remote commands to AVs for testing on road and closed courses.
• Log real-time feedback on autonomy and platform performance for engineers.
• Triage and review remote assist workflows impacting performance metrics.
• Escalate blockers with suggested solutions.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects to demonstrate impact.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of how the self-driving system works.
