Job summary

Reliable Robotics is seeking a Senior Flight Test Engineer to join the Flight Test and Integration team. You will verify modified flight control systems for a remotely operated autoflight system, starting in the lab and finishing on the vehicle, ensuring end-to-end system functionality and test coverage.

The role requires 7+ years of experimental flight test experience, expertise in test planning, hazard analyses, and risk assessments, and the ability to lead test campaigns as test director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experimental flight test experience.
• Experience drafting test plans, test cards, hazard analyses, and acting as test director during a flight/mission.
• Experience with aeronautical VHF radio calls.
• Demonstrated ability to complete system-level risk assessments.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Verify the function and capabilities of modified flight control systems for remotely operated autoflight.
• Ensure end-to-end functionality from lab to vehicle.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to validate test requirements.
• Act as responsible engineer and often as test director for flight test campaigns.
