Job summary
Saronic Technologies Inc. is seeking an Outfit Build Engineer to support the design, outfitting, and integration of autonomous surface vessels.
You will oversee hands-on equipment installation, systems integration, interior and exterior outfitting, and issue resolution at the shipyard, interfacing with remote design teams in Austin. The role requires familiarity with HVAC, piping, deck equipment, and marine outfit practices, plus CAD software proficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
- Experience in shipyard with outfit trades.
- Familiar with ABS outfit requirements, HVAC standards, piping codes (ASME B31), and USCG regulations.
- Strong CAD interpretation and P&ID reading.
- Ability to lead ECOs and non-conformance resolution.
Responsibilities
- Oversee outfit system installation and integration on ASVs.
- Coordinate with design, drafting, and production teams.
- Lead ECOs and IRBs for changes.
- Document as-built records and test procedures.
- Support verification and commissioning of navigation/control systems.
