Job summary

Saronic Technologies in the United States is seeking a Shipyard Production Engineer to drive fabrication, integration and defect resolution for autonomous surface vessels. You will oversee shipyard production, coordinate with design teams in Austin, and push ECOs, DWG management, and manufacturing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or related field.
• Familiarity with ABS and USCG regulations.
• Strong fundamentals in structure, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Experience working in a shipyard or onboard ships.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (Rhino, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX).
• Ability to interpret drawings, GD&T, weld symbols, tolerances.
• Strong communication across engineers, technicians, leadership.
• Comfortable in an industrial shipyard environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, analysis, and construction of ASVs.
• Collaborate on CAD modeling and vessel optimization.
• Coordinate between engineering, drafting, and production to resolve challenges.
• Lead ECOs with traceability and verification.
• Support integration of autonomous navigation and control systems.
• Contribute to design reviews and documentation for reports.
• Manage CAD models documenting ship construction changes.
• Support sea-trials and at-sea testing as needed.
• Translate shipbuilding processes into scalable digital formats.
