ASRC Federal Advanced Research seeks a Welder/Fabricator to support autonomy vehicle integrations in Sterling Heights, MI. Responsibilities include welding, fabrication, and assembly of armored hulls and turrets for ground combat platforms.

Qualifications

• Welding and fabrication of armored steel and alloys to support vehicle platforms.
• Experience with welding codes and quality standards (AWS D1.1, D1.2 and related Ground Combat Vehicle Codes).
• Ability to follow drawings and engineering documentation; reverse engineering when needed.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate components for vehicles, hulls and turrets.
• Weld ferrous and non-ferrous materials using GMAW/GTAW/SMAW.
• Cut with Oxy-Acetylene, Plasma, and Gouging; perform various joint positions.
• Collaborate with TARDEC and ensure safety and ISO 14001 compliance.
