Job summary

ASRC Federal Advanced Research seeks an Electrical Engineer to support autonomy vehicle integrations in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The role involves design, integration and development of electrical systems for military vehicle platforms.

The position requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 5+ years of hands-on experience, the ability to obtain a Government Secret Clearance, and willingness to travel up to 25% (CONUS/OCONUS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years work related experience designing, assembling, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.
• Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS, 25% annually.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and electronic design, system and component integration and development.
• Generate scope of work estimates (ROM) and engineering estimates for manpower, material, schedule and risks.
• Supervises design, manufacturing, assembly and installation of electrical vehicle systems; wire harness development/documentation.
• Design and develop electrical equipment solutions including motors, controls, MIL-spec wiring for military vehicles.
• Develop manufacturing processes for MIL-spec cables and harnesses; document for mass production (AutoCAD/Visio/Creo).
• Develop Electrical Schematics and interconnect diagrams, system requirements, BOMs per MIL-STD-31000.
• Strong background in programming/maintaining assembly line equipment; PLCs, motor drives, robotics preferred.
• Build, test and modify product/vehicle systems and subsystem prototypes; train technicians.
