Job summary

Transdev in California is seeking a Self-Driving Vehicle Operator Test Conductor (L1) to plan and conduct vehicle tests up to 6–8 hours daily. You will work with engineers, managers and researchers to create test plans, report results, and ensure safe operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of driving on public roads, a HS diploma (or GED), and the ability to travel up to 80% across sites.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 4 years of driving on public roads with a clean record.
• Experience in technical testing is preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED required; BS/BA or 2 years practical experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct vehicle tests for 6-8 hours per day.
• Develop and improve test plans with engineers, managers, and researchers.
• Report results clearly in written and oral form.
• Maintain high safety standards inside and outside the vehicle.
• Travel up to 80% to test sites and coordinate remote/on-site events.
• Complete daily reports and document procedures and tests.
• Adhere to confidentiality and company policies.
