Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Technician to support maintenance, diagnosis and repairs on electric vehicles for an autonomous fleet partnership in Mesa, AZ. The role involves collaborating with AutoNation and Waymo teams, ensuring safety, quality, and timely service across shifts.

Applicants should have high school diploma, Jaguar experience, EV exposure, and hands-on automotive training. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work 24/7 shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Jaguar automotive experience.
• Knowledgeable with hand tools.
• Electric Vehicle experience (a plus).
• Hybrid or EV training/experience (a plus).
• Automotive technical training.
• Must have a valid in-state driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• 24/7 operation / several shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on electric vehicles.
• Inspect and set up vehicles for autonomous fleet operation and testing.
• Collaborate with AutoNation and Waymo associates to improve processes.
• Document repairs and findings in the service platform.
• Perform high quality repairs and inspections efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and system checks for safety and reliability.
• Guide technician team and communicate parts needs.
• Perform repairs per work instructions and document results.
• Operate all center equipment following safety standards.
