Job summary

NGV Talent is seeking an engineering-focused Vehicle Technician to support maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and readiness of a fully autonomous robotaxi fleet in Ohio. The role emphasizes hands-on vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and coordination in a fast-paced, technically driven shop environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair, strong electrical/ADAS capabilities, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods, tools, parts, and materials.
• Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with electrical and ADAS systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vehicle repairs and inspections according to documented work instructions.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and system checks to ensure fleet safety and reliability.
• Inspect and test completed work as part of the quality control process.
• Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road operation.
• Perform diagnostics and escalate complex issues to engineering teams as needed.
• Coordinate and drive the repair process from diagnosis through resolution.
• Develop diagnostic test plans to support troubleshooting and validation.
• Maintain detailed service records and quality field reports.
• Assist with parts, tools, and inventory organization.
• Keep shop facilities and technician workspaces clean and properly maintained.
• Operate service center equipment safely and follow required PPE procedures.
• Follow applicable safety, hazardous waste, and service center regulations.
• Travel locally as needed to support vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
