Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Service Engineering Technician in the United States to join a cross-functional hardware team. You will diagnose, repair, and upgrade Aurora Driver components, collaborating with Vehicle Operations, Software, and Hardware groups. Attention to detail and clear communication are essential.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, test-rig setup, and process improvements to ensure high-quality service. Office presence is expected for collaboration and onsite work.

Qualifications

• At least 3-6 years OEM technician experience.
• At least 1-3 years AV and/or EV experience.
• Solid diagnostics chops.
• Demonstrate knowledge of workshop etiquette and cross-team communication.
• Prior experience with JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Work with Vehicle Operations, Software, and Hardware on diagnostics, test-plans, and upgrades.
• Perform maintenance on complex mechanical and electrical components.
• Document and communicate findings through internal processes.
• Take ownership and escalate data or findings when appropriate.
• Perform quality service and repair, cross-functionally with a can-do team.
• Maintain a clean and professional workspace.
• Balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Assemble or build parts or jigs for prototypes; mechanical fabrication.
• Build and setup test rigs for mechanical/electrical tests across teams.
• Provide feedback and improve workshop standards and processes.
