ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Vehicle Integration Technician in Austin, TX, hybrid work model. The role requires 4+ years retrofitting kits into autonomous industrial machines, with a hands-on background in automotive, robotics, or heavy machinery, installing full hardware stacks, including CAN networks.

You will work on forklifts, wheel loaders, and other equipment, tripling our deployment across sites and helping write the Austin playbook for autonomy in the US.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience retrofitting kits into autonomous machines on real industrial vehicles.
• Hands-on, multi-skilled background from automotive, robotics, autonomous driving, or heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Adapt standard platform hardware (power distribution, harnesses, sensors, compute, controllers) to fit each machine model.
• Build and install wiring harnesses, connectors, mounting brackets, sensors, and actuators; perform continuity, voltage, power, and CAN/J1939 checks.
• Travel to customer sites to scope retrofit needs and lead installation, commissioning, debugging, and acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across electrical, mechanical, and software layers; submit clear change requests to platform engineering.
• Record build issues and lessons learned to improve Vehicle Adapter Kits; ECU or embedded programming experience is a plus.
