Job summary

RRC Solutions Group in Austin, TX is hiring a Vehicle Integration Technician to retrofit autonomous vehicle hardware onto industrial machines. The role covers hands-on assembly, wiring, sensors, and CAN/J1939 integration across forklift, loader, and digger platforms while traveling to customer sites as needed.

You will join a growing team at the new Austin location and contribute to a scalable playbook for deploying autonomy in the US, helping to reduce machine-hour costs and enable a fleet-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–8 years of experience in related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Adapt platform hardware to fit each machine model.
• Build and install wiring harnesses, connectors, mounting brackets, sensors, and actuators; perform continuity, voltage, power, and CAN/J1939 checks.
• Visit customer sites to scope retrofit needs and manage installation, commissioning, debugging, and acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot cross electrical, mechanical, and software integration issues and issue clear change requests.
• Record build issues and lessons learned to improve Vehicle Adapter Kits.
