Job summary

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Sr Electrical Harness Engineer in Mountain View, CA to drive the design and validation of critical harnesses for autonomous vehicles.

You will craft harness schematics, manage BOMs, and coordinate with external partners to ensure safe, reliable electrical systems. The role requires 5+ years of hardware development in automotive or related industries, hands-on debugging, and strong documentation.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hardware development experience in automotive/aerospace or related industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical harness designs and CAN/Ethernet buses.
• Familiar with IPC quality standards and on-vehicle debugging.
• Hands-on approach with strong technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate high-quality harness assemblies for high/low power systems.
• Develop harness schematics, diagrams, BOMs, and component selections.
• Collaborate with external partners for harness manufacturing and testing.
• Own full lifecycle of harness design from reviews to product release.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolve electrical-system issues.
• Interface with Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
