Job summary

Teoresi Inc is an international Group with offices in Europe and United States, acting as an engineering partner for product and process development. We are seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Engineer to support operation, maintenance, testing, and monitoring of autonomous vehicle systems in real-world environments.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, and vehicle integration teams to maintain fleets, conduct testing, troubleshoot issues, and support 24/7 autonomous operations across Chicago

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, Robotics, or related field.
  • Experience supporting vehicle operations, maintenance, or testing activities.
  • Familiarity with Bash, Python, C++, and ROS is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based, 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee autonomous vehicle operations and monitoring to ensure safe, reliable performance.
  • Perform vehicle diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct autonomous system testing and validation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Coordinate with on-site and remote teams for 24/7 operations.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for an:

Autonomous Vehicle Engineer

to support the operation, maintenance, testing, and monitoring of autonomous vehicle systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance in real-world environments.

You will work in a collaborative and international engineering environment, partnering with software, hardware, and vehicle integration teams to maintain autonomous vehicle fleets, execute testing activities, troubleshoot technical issues, and support 24/7 autonomous operations.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive operations, or vehicle testing
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics and technical troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Experience with mechanical systems and electrical/electronic wiring
  • Understanding of robotics and automation technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a shift-based, 24/7 operational environment

Profile Completes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, Robotics, or a related field
  • Experience supporting vehicle operations, maintenance, or testing activities
  • Familiarity with Bash, Python, C++, and ROS is considered a plus
  • Class 3 Driving License is considered a plus
  • Proactive attitude, strong ownership, and attention to safety
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments

Location: Chicago or San Francisco Bay Area
