Job summary

Aurora Innovation Inc. is seeking a Service Engineering Technician in Pittsburgh, PA to develop and validate repair strategies and support cross-functional hardware teams. The role emphasizes diagnostics, documentation, and hands-on repairs across mechanical and electrical systems.

Ideal candidates have OEM technician experience, familiarity with AV/EV tech, and strong cross-team communication. This is a hybrid role with in-office work required several days a week, and a competitive hourly wage

Qualifications

3–6 years OEM technician experience.
1–3 years AV and/or EV experience.
Demonstrate knowledge of basic workshop etiquette and strong cross-team communication.
Prior experience with JIRA.

Responsibilities

Work with Vehicle Operations, Software, and Hardware to diagnose, create test plans, and perform upgrades.
Perform maintenance on complex mechanical and electrical components.
Document and communicate findings through internal processes.
Take ownership and escalate data or findings when appropriate.
Perform quality service and repair, work cross-functionally, and maintain a clean workspace.
Balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
Assemble parts or jigs for prototypes and use mechanical fabrication tools.
Build and setup test rigs for mechanical and electrical tests across teams.
Provide feedback to improve workshop standards and processes.
