Job summary

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. is seeking Field Technicians to maintain and repair autonomous vehicle platforms in the Permian Basin, West Texas.

You will service trucks, trailers, and autonomous systems, operate company vehicles as required, and uphold safety and documentation standards. Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, experience with specialized tools, and a commitment to reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Reading Electrical Harness Diagrams and Mechanical Prints
• Experience with industry-based tooling including electrical and mechanical tooling
• Proficient with diagnostic instrumentation for trucks and failure analysis
• Strong hands-on background inspecting defects and failures on complex systems
• Reliability and consistency with methodical service and documentation
• Clear communication with engineers and teammates for safety-critical decisions
• Innovative mindset with ability to solve problems in uncertain paths
• Flexibility for daytime/night/weekend shifts and travel requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modify autonomous vehicle platforms, including trucks and trailers
• Safely operate company vehicles as part of the role
• Maintain a clean driving record as required by insurance
• Repair modular subsystems and related harnesses on bench and in-vehicle
• Inspect and certify operational health of trucks, trailers, and AV platforms
• Collaborate with design and validation engineers on hardware development
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and uphold upkeep programs
• Support material staging and remote task readiness for field teams
• Provide technical coverage at other locations as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Coordinate replenishment and distribution of consumed items for vehicle operations
