Job summary

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. is seeking Field Technicians to maintain and repair our autonomous vehicle fleet in the Permian Basin, West Texas.

The role involves hands-on work on trucks, trailers, and AV systems, with a daytime/night/weekend shift rotation and opportunities for cross-training at main locations. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, strong diagnostic tool experience, and a proactive, safety-conscious mindset.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Experience reading Electrical Harness Diagrams and Mechanical Prints.
Proficient with diagnostics and industry tools.
Hands-on repair of trucks, trailers, and autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain and modify autonomous vehicle platforms (trucks, trailers, autonomous systems).
Repair modular subsystems and harnesses on bench and in-vehicle.
Inspect and certify health of trucks, trailers, and AV platforms.
Collaborate with design/validation engineers on hardware development.
Follow scheduled preventative maintenance and upkeep programs.
Support material staging and workflows for remote tasks and field teams.
Provide technical coverage in multiple locations as needed.
Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Coordinate replenishment and distribution of items used in vehicle ops.
Safely operate company vehicles.
Maintain a driving record suitable for insurance coverage.
