Job summary

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. is seeking Field Technicians to maintain and repair autonomous vehicle platforms in the Permian Basin. This role covers trucks, trailers, and autonomous systems with emphasis on safety, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.

Experience with electrical/mechanical tooling, diagnostic instruments, and ability to read harness diagrams is preferred. Daytime/night/weekend shifts and travel may be required; housing and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with industry tools: wire crimpers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, torque wrenches.
• Proficient with diagnostic instrumentation for trucks.
• Ability to read Electrical Harness Diagrams and Mechanical Prints.
• Strong practical, hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Reliable and meticulous with checklists and documentation.
• Clear communication and teamwork with engineers and field crews.
• Willingness to travel and work day/night/weekend shifts.
• Experience in the energy sector is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for maintenance and modifications to autonomous vehicle platforms, including trucks, trailers, and autonomous systems
• Repair modular and sub-systems and related harnesses on the bench and in-vehicle
• Inspect and certify the operational health of trucks, trailers, and Autonomous Vehicle platforms
• Work closely with design and validation engineers to aid in the development of hardware systems
• Execute work according to scheduled preventative maintenance and demand of related upkeep programs
• Support material staging and workflow readiness for remote tasks and field based teams
• Provide technical coverage when needed in other locations
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Coordinate the replenishment and distribution of consumed items used in maintaining vehicle operations
• Safely operate company vehicles as an essential function of the position
• Maintain a clean driving record that meets requirements for coverage under the company's auto insurance policy.
