Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC is seeking engineers to support validation activities for a fail-operational vehicle platform and to contribute to the validation of highly automated truck systems.

You will develop and execute system- and vehicle-level tests, analyze results, and work with a global team to drive safety and performance improvements while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge automated driving technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Experience developing, reviewing and executing test cases.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of validation strategies for highly automated vehicle platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines in fast-paced, iterative development cycles.
• Plan and execute test campaigns involving multiple stakeholders.
• Develop conclusions from testing, present results and investigate issues.
• Contribute to validation planning and milestone tracking.
• Interact with functional safety engineers to ensure validation supports safety objectives.
• Execute vehicle and system-level testing at proving grounds, test tracks, and lab environments.
