Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an Entry-Mid Level Software Validation Engineer to join our engineering team onsite in Irving, TX. You will support integration, verification, and validation of autonomous vehicle hardware and software systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met and releases are successfully integrated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years in software validation, systems integration, embedded systems, autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Experience developing and executing verification and validation plans, test procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, system integration, and requirements management.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in development, lab, or field environments.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including software, systems, controls, and program management.
• Experience with autonomous systems, off-highway equipment, robotics, machine control systems or embedded software preferred.
• Familiarity with HIL, SIL, data collection and test automation tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Autonomy Systems integration engineers to fulfill architecture requirements.
• Coordinate with Technical program managers and Application Architects to meet time, cost, quality targets.
• Ensure base machine software changes are delivered on time for releases (NPI/CPI).
• Support Field data collection kits activities, including design support, procurement, shipping and data collection.
• Document architecture specifications, software design descriptions, verification plans, test cases, procedures and safety procedures.
• Assist in verification and validation, including hardware-in-the-loop testing and proving ground tests.
• Participate in design and development of application software and algorithms for robotic platforms.
