Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years autonomy/AI experience or advanced degree with related experience
• Hands-on experience with computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, control theory, human-machine teaming, or multi-robot systems
• Ability to articulate autonomy challenges and real-world application constraints
• Familiarity with ROS 2 and Docker
• Ability to learn new technologies independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience executing autonomy-focused research initiatives
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within 12 months
• U.S. citizen to meet security requirements
• Minimum of 3 days a week on-site

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of advances in autonomy and robotics capabilities
• Leverage technical expertise to evaluate and improve AI/Autonomy system performance
• Provide thought leadership on autonomy/AI adoption for robotics hardware and cloud environments
• Evaluate autonomy or AI solutions and advise sponsors based on requirements
• Work on robotics-related topics such as computer vision, deep learning, ML, planning, and multi-robot systems
• Develop capabilities in growth areas like maritime autonomy, healthcare robotics, or space robotics
• Support strategy execution for high-consequence autonomy applications including assurance and testing
