Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites highly qualified candidates with a PhD in STEM to join the Intelligent Combat Platforms Group in Maryland. You will contribute to autonomous systems, AI, and software design, prototype and test new capabilities, and collaborate with top experts to advance defense technologies for the Nation.

Qualifications

  • PhD in STEM required or equivalent.
  • Strong C++ and Python coding skills.
  • Experience with AI and autonomy algorithms.
  • Ability to obtain interim Secret clearance and Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI systems and autonomous platforms and capabilities.
  • Prototype and simulate AI systems and algorithms.
  • Collaborate with experts to deliver capabilities to the warfighter.
