Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Physical Therapist within the Rehab and Extended Care Service Line at the VA Health Care Center in Fargo, ND.

This position is located at the Grand Forks CBOC outpatient setting, delivering physical therapy services to Veterans in a Primary Care outpatient environment. Candidates must hold a current State license in Physical Therapy and meet CAPTE accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: U.S.
• Education and Experience: at least one of the listed degree/experience combinations
• Licensure in State with current, unrestricted license
• Temporary appointment options for graduates under supervision may exist
• GS-11 to GS-12 targets with appropriate licensure and competencies
• Endorsements and program accreditation information available from APTA/ CAPTE

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with orthopedic, neuromuscular, and mobility conditions
• Plan and adjust treatment based on patient response
• Provide autonomous clinical decision-making in an outpatient setting
• Coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team
• In outpatient clinic, may provide supervision and teaching to students/assistants
