Job summary

Headlight is seeking a licensed psychiatrist to join a hybrid team in Carlsbad, CA. You will review medical histories, assess emotional states, diagnose mental disorders, and develop treatment plans.

The position entails prescribing medications and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. The role emphasizes autonomy within a supportive clinical leadership structure, with access to NextGen EHR tools and collaborative case consultations.

Qualifications

• Must have a medical degree and completed an approved psychiatric residency.
• ABPN board certification is required.
• Full, unencumbered MD license in the practicing state.
• Active DEA license in the prescribing state.
• In-depth knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods.

Responsibilities

• Review patients’ medical history and collect information as needed.
• Evaluate emotional and mental state through discussion and observation.
• Identify mental disorders and determine best treatments.
• Work a hybrid model, minimum of 4 days per week in office.
• Develop effective plan of care for patients.
• Prescribe medications.
• Analyze medical tests and monitor progress.
