Vertis Therapy in the Indianapolis area seeks a passionate Occupational Therapist for full-time or part-time roles in our assisted living program. Join a therapist-owned company that provides ongoing training and support with a focus on patient-centered care.

The role involves evaluating and treating patients per physician orders, developing individualized plans, supervising assistants, and collaborating with the rehab team to improve independence, safety, and quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and five years of direct practice experience.
• Current license/certification in the state of practice.
• Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
• Demonstrated competency in applying OT principles and methods.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adequate computer skills to complete required job duties and documentation.
• Ability to assess patient needs and develop a comprehensive plan of care.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
• Promote Vertis Therapy programs through community interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Review patient information and evaluate impact on assessment and treatment.
• Conduct thorough functional assessment of the patient.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with achievable goals.
• Record patient progress regularly and update plans as needed.
• Supervise and instruct assistants during treatment procedures.
• Orient patients to program services and procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, patients, and families to maximize functional abilities.
• Participate in rehab team conferences and department meetings.
