Job summary

Medcor is seeking an onsite Occupational Health Nurse in a large manufacturing facility in Iowa. You will provide first aid, triage, and urgent care-style treatment for workplace injuries while coordinating with safety teams to maintain health and productivity.

You will document encounters in EMR, support OSHA-related activities, and manage workers' compensation cases as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Strong clinical judgment and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

Must hold a current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
Strong assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal onsite supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for occupational injuries and illnesses.
Respond to workplace medical emergencies and coordinate with EMS as needed.
Document all patient encounters accurately in EMR and company systems.
Assist with OSHA recordkeeping, injury/illness documentation, and incident tracking.
Support workers' compensation and non-work-related injury management and case coordination.
Perform reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing following policy and regulations.
