Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks an ambulatory care Cancer Center Infusion APP to provide care for oncology and non-oncology patients, across five infusion centers and the Cancer Acute Care Clinic (CACC).

The role requires California RN and NP licenses, NP furnishing number, DEA registration, BLS and ACLS, plus inpatient hematology/oncology experience. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication, judgment, and ability to work across teams with physicians, APPs, and staff.

Qualifications

• California RN license without restriction required.
• California NP license without restriction required.
• NP furnishing number required.
• NP board certification aligned with patient population and clinical role.
• DEA registration with CA address.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Commitment to UCSF policies and billing standards.

Responsibilities

• Triage acute treatment-related symptoms and coordinate care in real time.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and APP colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
• Support handling 50–75 patients daily across Infusion centers.
• Assess and manage acute oncology symptoms in outpatient settings (CACC).
• Coordinate hospital admissions when higher levels of care are needed and facilitate emergency evaluation.
