Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas and maintain throughout employment.
• Current Adult Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in the State of Texas and maintain throughout employment.
• Minimum of 12 months of current nursing practice in specific specialty area in which the nurse will practice advanced nursing.
• Knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rule and Regulations.
• BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the quality of care delivered to his/her patients.
• Collaborates with other health care professionals in the delivery of health care services.
• Makes independent decisions about nursing needs and interdependent decisions with physicians regarding health regimens.
• Assumes dependent responsibilities in carrying out delegated medical acts.
• Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practises the Service Excellence Standards to all groups.
